Note: it says "is"! So know that everything which is written below about Jesus, that this is not only
what Jesus was, but also what He is and always will be.
In other words, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
So also here and now, in your own life and in our life!
In a world where lovelessness increases and where it becomes more and more "every man for himself", it is a blessing to know that Jesus is Love Himself. And what Love exactly is, is written in the Bible.
Love is, among other things, patient, tolerant, not jealous, does not flaunt, is not puffed up, does not hurt other people’s feelings, seeketh not her own, does not get bitter, keeps no record of wrongs, rejoices not in inequity but rejoices in TRUTH, ..., she tolerates everything.
Love is so much more: Jesus gives Love, but, even more than that, He is Love itself. He is infinitely, indescribably and unspeakably good!
Jesus doesn’t only see you, but He also loves you. He loves you, just as you are. He is not someone Who is waiting to catch you in case you do something wrong, in order to punish you. No, He is waiting to answer your calls, to save you from all your needs and free you from all your stresses, fears, etc. A life in peace and quiet is, thanks to Jesus, also possible for you today. It is not too late yet! He doesn’t want anything else than people being happy and grateful. He only wants what is best for His children and for all those who want to get to know Him better.
He is a loving Father, Who loves His children. For which Father will, when his son or daughter asks him for something, not give it to him or her, if that something is good for his son or daughter? How much more will Jesus give us everything that is good for us, if we ask Him for it. He can do everything and only He knows what is really good for us. By the way, He knows that better than we do!
His Love for us is a source which never ceases to bubble, which continues to give Love. Everything that comes out of this source is His Love. We can draw from this source, we can come to this source, always. This source is Jesus Himself. Everything that comes from Him is: Love, joy, peace, rest, ..., everything which is good.
He was born out of Love for us, He died out of Love for us on the cross, but, in His omnipotence and out of Love, He also resurrected and He lives forever and ever. HALLELUYAH, He also wants to be a loving Father to you. Give Him that opportunity, allow Him into your life, step by step, you will be amazed!
Jesus says, "I am the Light of the world, whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but he will have the Light of Life."
Imagine sitting in a dark room with a group of people. It is so dark in there that you cannot see each other. If someone takes a lighter, lights it up and keeps it up, then everyone can see each other. From this you can see that the darkness goes away. It must give way when light comes.
This is also the case with Jesus. When you are in trouble, and you no longer see a way out, in other words, when you are actually in the dark, call for Jesus. He is Light and where the Light of the world comes, the darkness always departs!
Jesus can still solve everything for you. He wants to be the Light for you in your darkness. He provides tailor‐made solutions.
If you have problems at work, difficulties with your children or in your marriage, no peace or quiet in your heart, no satisfaction in life or whatever is happening, Jesus wants to solve all of this for you.
But just like you had to light the lighter to be able to see each other in the dark, an action must first occur: call upon Jesus and know that Jesus is near all those who sincerely call for Him.
Know and realize that Jesus knows everything: He knows your heart. We cannot deceive Him and He will always do what He deems best for us.
He gives peace to those who are tired (both mentally and physically) and He gives strength to the powerless (who are not able to continue).
The purpose of this website is not to give an explanation or to fully understand what happens to us every day. No human is able to do that correctly, although many try to do so, to no avail though.
However, it is a certain fact that it is bliss to know that in a world like today, there is Someone who wants to give you lasting Rest and quiet. Not only does He give it, He is it Himself.
In His Word, the Bible, it is written in many places that we should not be concerned because He is there for us and cares for us. Who can really live without worries? This is only possible if you know someone who wants to take all your worries and solve them. That Someone is Jesus: only He can and wants to do that for you. We, as humans, want or claim to be able to do a lot, but humans remain limited. Jesus, however, is unlimited!
He wants to give His Rest and Quiet today, also to you. Does that seem impossible? Yet, He wants to do that for you and He can do that for you. Because it is written in His Word, the Bible, and His Word is the Truth. It should not, or rather must not, be doubted.
Jesus is the King of Peace. He wants to give you peace and satisfaction in your heart. No peace which depends on human wealth or prestige, but a peace that makes you happy and keeps you happy. Isn’t this what we all want: that true Peace?! Being satisfied and grateful with your life and enjoying it every day.
In the Bible, Jesus compares Himself to the Good Shepherd and us to the sheep of His flock. The good Shepherd leads His sheep and the sheep hear the voice of the Shepherd and they follow Him. The sheep want for nothing and feel safe and at ease with their Shepherd. The Shepherd goes from meadow to meadow to ensure that his sheep have plenty of good pasture to graze. If there are meadows where plants grow between the grass that are not good for his sheep, the shepherd goes to other pastures that are good for His sheep. The sheep, defenseless as they are, can lie quietly after eating and are safe and protected because their Shepherd is with them and stays with them.
Jesus also wants to lead you. He wants to provide everything for you and He wants to ensure that you can continue to have Rest and Quiet, so that you too can experience and confess: "Thanks to Jesus, I am very satisfied in my life and I have everything I need to be permanently Happy."
Who would we think we are if we wanted to comprehend or understand Jesus? That was, is and remains impossible. If we, as a human being, could fully comprehend or understand Him, He would not be God. Sometimes He lets us know the reason why He does something and sometimes he does not, in both cases everything He does is good!
He is the loving Father who always wants the very best for His children. He makes sure that we have a good life, that we have plenty, that we can eat and drink, that we can be happy, ....
The more and the better you get to know Jesus, the more you discover and experience that He really has got ‐ and keeps ‐ everything in His hands!
We know the past and the present, but only He knows the future. He promises to take care of us and to be there for us: always and everywhere. He asks us: "Live one day at a time." Why worry about the future?
Let Jesus take care of you, then you can live without worries. Sometimes joy, sadness, a windfall or a setback happens to us, but Jesus wants to be there for you, in every situation. And even though sometimes small or big disasters happen to you, Jesus can save you out of everything, as he does for us.
Because everything He does is good, perhaps we should all start to think less and start to thank Jesus more. "Thinking" and "thanking" differ only in one letter, but in between those two words, there is a world of difference. Think about this!
Do not try to understand Him, do not try to explain everything in life: accept your situation or condition and remain grateful!
A popular Belgian song says: "Don’t leave me alone now: desperate and lost. Destroy those walls around me, help me in this way to get to you."
How many people are out there who are desperate and lost? They find no solution, they walk around aimlessly, they no longer know what to do. There are walls around them, disabling them to continue with their lives. They cannot move on, and dig a pit for themselves, a pit out of which they can never come out by their own strength.
Now, with Jesus, you are not desperate and lost. He can remove all the walls and obstacles for you so that you can come to Him for the very best advice at any time of the day or night. Jesus is always accessible, as He neither sleeps nor slumbers.
The Bible states, among other things, that He will not fail or forsake you and that He alone is the Wonderful Counselor. Jesus is always with you, isn’t that wonderful? To know that the only One who can always advise, help and strengthen you, doesn’t only live, but is also with you?
So know that He is your personal Counselor. He alone can solve everything for you. He alone can give you tailor fit advice, because He knows you better than anyone else and only wants what is best for you.
If you are lost, in other words, if you have lost your way and you no longer know where to go, then know: Jesus is the Way, the solution. He doesn’t only have the solution, He is the solution Himself.
When from a human point of view, there is no way out anymore, all things remain possible with Jesus and, if you call for Him, He will come and answer, in His time, in His way and according to His will, not according to ours!
Imagine that there are two people: one of them builds his house on the loose sand, without any foundation and the other one builds on a solid rock. Whose house will remain standing in times of storm? The house that was built on the rock, obviously.
When we then read in the Bible that the Lord is our Rock, one of the things that we can learn from this is that we cannot rely on anyone else but Jesus. For there is no one as strong and unshakeable as the Lord Jesus.
Jesus is the firmest foundation. Whoever builds and trusts in Him will remain standing, at all times.
Put your trust in Him and build, grow, more and more towards Him. He, Jesus, is the strongest and the only One that does not waiver. You can be sure of Him. No one is stronger than Jesus. Even the strongest storm cannot waiver or shake the Rock.
Problems, struggles, or storms, whatever you want to call them, are in every one's life, but those who trust in Jesus are surrounded and protected by Jesus Himself.
